USC fosters a smooth transition from senior secondary to university with highly professional and caring subject specialist teachers who mentor and support students’ growth. Students discover how to maximise success at school and university as they become a more self-reliant, resilient and confident learner. 

Located in the heart of Adelaide at Adelaide University ground and surrounded by leading research and cultural institutions including the South Australian Museum, Adelaide Zoo, Botanic Gardens, Art Gallery of South Australia, Migration Museum and the Adelaide Magistrates Court, the College promotes collaborative, enquiry based learning within an inspiring academic environment.

USC is the largest feeder school to universities in South Australia, particularly Adelaide University, with over 90 per cent of graduates securing their first preference university offer with approximately 25% of graduates progressing into health-related degrees, followed by sciences, law and engineering. 

Through our Hybrid Program and Adelaide University Active Program, selected students may study subjects above their current year level. In Year 12, students may undertake one or two Adelaide University subjects, which contribute towards their SACE credits and ATAR.

International students complete the Intensive English Program prior to entering Year 10 or 11, ensuring strong academic language readiness. Alongside their senior secondary studies, students continue to develop English proficiency across English, Mathematics, Science and Commerce, and participate in the International Cultural Engagement Program, supporting cultural integration, leadership development and global citizenship.
